Variety reports that Desperate Housewives writer/producer Kevin Murphy is working on a slate of projects including CW drama about college cheerleading (with Smallville’s Tom Welling), a Broadway musical adaptation of Heathers, and working as a co-executive producer and writer on Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica. He is also supervising hour-long drama Velvet Hammer for USA.
